Terms of Service

Last updated: September 3, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Famously Us (the "Service"), operated by Weizware LLC ("Famously Us," "we," "us"). By creating an account, contributing to a game, joining a live game, or purchasing a game, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Famously Us Does

Famously Us lets a host ("Host") create a personalized party game about a specific group of people. The Host and, optionally, other members of that group ("Contributors") submit stories, quotes, memories, preferences, and photos about themselves and each other. We use artificial intelligence to turn that material into game content ("Cards") across several round formats — including rounds built around uploaded photos, and, for a Celebration Edition, a round about one featured person. The Host reviews and approves every Card before the group plays, on one screen or with each player on their own phone.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a Host account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
  • Contributors do not need an account — they access a private link the Host shares with them, and are subject to these Terms for the duration of that access.
  • People who join a live game on their phone are likewise subject to these Terms while they play.
  • If children will be present while a game is played, the Host is responsible for using the "children present" setting and for reviewing all Cards before play.

3. Free Generations, Referrals, and Credits

You can generate a limited number of games, and regenerate a limited number of individual Cards, without paying. Referring someone who creates an account grants a bonus generation to both of you.

  • Credits and free generations have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for money, and are not refundable.
  • We may change the limits, or the referral bonus, at any time. Playing a game you have already purchased is never affected.
  • Creating accounts in bulk, referring yourself, or otherwise manufacturing credits is a breach of these Terms. We limit how many accounts can be created from one location and may revoke credits obtained this way.

4. Your Content

"Your Content" means anything you or a Contributor submits — text answers, quotes, memories, preferences, and photos. You retain ownership of Your Content. By submitting it, you grant Famously Us a license to store, process, and use Your Content (including sending it to third-party AI providers, described below) solely to generate, moderate, and operate the game you or your Host created.

5. Content About Other People

Famously Us is built around stories and photos about real people, not just yourself. By submitting content that describes, quotes, or depicts another person — or by giving us their email address so they can be invited — you confirm that:

  • you have that person's permission to share it in this private game;
  • you have their permission to give us their email address, if you provide one; and
  • the content is something you have the right to share — you won't submit anything confidential, defamatory, or shared without consent.

Famously Us is not responsible for verifying permission between members of your group — that responsibility sits with the people submitting content about each other. Anyone who appears in a game can ask the Host to remove their content, or can contact us at privacy@famouslyus.com.

6. AI-Generated Content

Cards are drafted by an AI model based on the material submitted. AI output can be inaccurate, can occasionally misinterpret submitted material, and is not a factual record of anything. The Host is responsible for reviewing every Card before it is approved for play. We run automated safety checks on submitted text, on uploaded photos, and on generated Cards, but these checks are not perfect, and final judgment about what's appropriate for your group rests with the Host.

7. Photos

Uploaded photos are analysed automatically before they can be used in a game: once to check for content unsuitable for a party game, and again to describe what is visible so that Cards can refer to the specific photo. Photos we block, or that a Host removes, are not used. Do not upload photos of people who have not agreed to appear in the game.

8. Live Play and Audience Members

A Host can open a game to people who are present on the night but were not part of the group the game was written about. These audience members vote and score like everyone else but never appear as an answer in a Card. The Host controls whether latecomers can join. Votes, bluffs, and scores from a live session are stored as part of that game.

9. Sharing a Recap

After a game, the Host can share a recap link showing the game's title and occasion, the names of the people in the game, the final scores, and the winner. Card prompts and the stories behind them are not included. Anyone with the link can view it, so Hosts should share it only with people the group is comfortable seeing those names and results.

10. Movie Night

After a game has been played, the Host can generate a short awards-ceremony video about that night. It is assembled from material already in the game — the group's photos, their names, the awards, and the final scores — and an AI model writes the wording. Who receives which award is determined from what actually happened in the game, not invented.

The video contains the names and likenesses of the people in the game. The Host can download it and share it wherever they choose, and once shared we have no way to recall it. Deciding whether a video of your group should leave the room is the Host's judgment and responsibility, the same as everything else in the game. Anyone who appears in one can ask the Host not to share it, or contact us at privacy@famouslyus.com.

Photos are used in a reel only where the person is the subject, our safety checks cleared them, and the contributor did not mark them private to the Host.

11. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • submit content involving medical conditions, sexual content, illegal conduct, abuse, or content designed to humiliate or bully a specific person;
  • submit another person's private information (addresses, phone numbers, etc.);
  • upload photos you do not have the right to share, or that depict a minor inappropriately;
  • use the Service to harass, defame, or harm anyone;
  • attempt to bypass usage limits, security controls, bot protection, or payment requirements, or to manufacture referral credits; or
  • use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

12. Payments, Promotion Codes, and Refunds

Games are purchased as a one-time payment processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. Where we offer a promotion code, it applies only to the purchase it is redeemed on, has no cash value, may be limited in time or quantity, and may be withdrawn at any time before it is redeemed. Refunds are calculated on the amount actually paid after any discount. See our Refund Policy for details.

13. Intellectual Property

The Famously Us name, logo, game formats, prompts, and software are owned by us. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our brand or technology beyond using the Service as intended.

14. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on Famously Us infringes your copyright, contact us at legal@famouslyus.com with a description of the work, its location, and your contact information.

15. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that generated content will be error-free, appropriate for every audience, or available without interruption.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Famously Us is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages arising from content submitted by other members of your group. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the game the claim relates to.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings; deletion is immediate and permanent.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
